What is the main difference between AMD and Intel?
AMD is fabless, meaning it designs chips and outsources the manufacturing to specialist foundries. Intel does both - it designs and builds its own chips in its own factories. That integrated model gives Intel more control but also huge fixed costs, while AMD stays lighter and leans on outside manufacturing capacity.
